Overall, the average price of farmland was $6,979/acre and the price per productivity index point was $93.79 in 2024 based on the sales data. It is important to note that in 2024 there have been farmland sales as high as $8,520 per acre.

The bulk of the listings are centered around Bedford, which has the most land for sale in the area. Located in South Central Indiana, Lawrence County spans about 451 square miles, making it the 22nd largest county in the state.
