Overall, the average price of farmland in our sampled data report from January – December of 2024 was $13,182/acre and the average price per productivity index point was $161.60 based on the below sampled data. It is important to note that in 2024 there have been farmland sales as high as $21,891 per acre.

Recently, approximately $26 million worth of farms and rural land were listed for sale in Montgomery County, Indiana, according to Land.com. These listings covered a total of around 1,000 acres. Among Indiana’s 92 counties, Montgomery ranks 58th in terms of total acreage currently on the market. Crawfordsville led the county with the most rural properties and farmland available.
