Overall, the average price of farmland was $7,322/acre and the price per productivity index point was $92.52 in 2024 based on the sales data. It is important to note that in 2024 there have been farmland sales as high as $8,044 per acre.

According to Land.com, about 1,500 acres of land were listed for sale in Owen County, Indiana, with Spencer showcasing the most available properties. Owen County currently ranks 34th out of 92 counties in the state for total land listed, making it a notable area in Indiana’s land market. The county covers around 387 square miles and sits in the western part of the state.
