About Our Opportunity
The Assistant to Lead Real Estate Broker is responsible for managing, coordinating, and implementing a variety of administrative, customer service, and marketing efforts for lead broker Johnny Klemme at GFL across a wide range of print, social, and digital platforms – ensuring that key processes for advertising and communication are timely and consistent.
This person will build strong relationships with industry contacts, landowners, farmers, and community members: within the Lead Broker’s service territory as well as with clients. The Assistant to Lead Real Estate Broker will utilize calendar management, adaptation/adjustment of priorities, communication in a timely and precise manner, and delivery of projects/items within deadlines with the ultimate goal of adding more value to clients, company, and team members.
How You Will Spend Your Time
You are responsible for working directly with the Lead Broker to manage new farm & land listings and auctions from start to finish. Your work will help us to continually improve marketing efforts, generate new leads to fill the pipeline of sellers and buyers, and grow our client engagement through consistent touch points. You will assist with the management of a calendar consisting of sales & marketing activities for both property listings and land auctions.
These tasks require attention to detail: managing an ever-changing calendar in a work environment that is evolving and full of energy. You will assist with client correspondence, weekly follow ups, and timely sales & marketing action items which include but are not limited to: research & due diligence of properties, updating advertising, planning & confirming social media posts of new listings, entering data into SalesForce CRM system, and more.
You will learn about the day-to-day of one of the fastest growing farm & land real estate brokerages in Indiana. You will gain insight into business administration and management, learn new skills, hone your attention to detail & calendar management – all in a dog-friendly workplace.

Minimum Education & Experience
High school diploma and successful experience in one or more of the following areas: office administration, marketing & communications, management of created content, creative writing, design of marketing and advertising, WordPress and Adobe Creative (PS/AI/Au, Premiere) proficiency.
-OR- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in advertising/marketing, agribusiness, or related field.

This job requires the incumbent to have the ability to…
- Understand & manage a calendar for the Lead Broker
- Perform research, send out regular mailings (print), and ensure Lead Broker follow ups are completed.
- Sit and/or stand at an ergonomic desk for up to 20 hours per week minimum.
- Learn about the GFL branding, marketing messages, & company values
- Assist with the creation, planning, and posting of content to broker social media platforms (GFarmland.com, IG, FB, Twitter, Mailchimp).
- Ability to function in an environment where priorities & daily objectives may shift on the fly.
- Assist with planning and timelines of marketing videos and photography projects.
- Work with outside graphic designers, print companies, & videographers to ensure that marketing materials for new listings & auctions are timely.
- Communicate updates for existing ads in both print & digital marketing.
- Travel via auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities of the job.
- Engage in telephone and face-to-face conversations to serve internal staff as well as and give and receive information from clients, staff, vendors, outside consultants and the public.
- Use a computer and similar office technology and tools. This involves reading the screen and keying/typing information.
- Successfully interact with and represent the organization to clients, staff, officers, vendors, and/or the public at all levels.
